Welcome! My name is Casey Rose and I am the 7th grade science teacher for the Huskies. Prior to coming to Mankato, I taught biology, physical science, and physics in St. Peter, MN and Sioux Falls, SD.  I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with minors in chemistry, microbiology, and zoology from South Dakota State University, and received my teaching license from Augustana University.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband Joe, son Lucas, and dog Rufus.  I also like to swim, hike, and paint.

Science, and school in general, is all about learning, not about grades. We believe that grades should only measure learning even if it takes a student longer or more practice to get there. That is why all students and parents should read the fact sheet that is linked below.  It is also posted in our Google classroom, and our students have received a hard copy during class.
